Leadership and Innovation Award Semi Finalist

Kerang Christian College has been selected as one of the semi-finalists for the Regional Development Victoria Leadership and Innovation Award, part of the Victorian Regional Achievement and Community Awards. This is the second year in a row that the College has been selected as a semi-finalist in this award category. The Regional Development Victoria Leadership and Innovation Award will acknowledge role models who through their leadership, innovation and driving force pave the way for others to follow.

We are very grateful to be recognised as a semi-finalist in this award category. The 2016 academic school year has been a historic year for the College as we celebrate the milestone of offering Prep to Year 12 for the first time. Once again, we wish to thank the community for their support and acknowledge the privilege it is to educate their children.

During the past six years, Kerang Christian College progressively added a year level each year to expand from a Prep-Year 6 Primary School (2010) to a Prep to Year 12 College in 2016. The College has experienced 97% growth during this period. The College provides an innovative Middle School elective program, VCE studies and the opportunity to study VCE face-to-face and by Video Conference. New facilities have been constructed to best meet the learning needs of the students. The College is committed to providing excellence in Christian education and providing an opportunity for more students to complete Year 12 studies.

We recognise that the achievement of offering Prep – Year 12 has been a team effort and would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the Kerang Christian College staff, teachers, administrators, College Board, parents and our local community who all believed in the College’s vision, mission and commitment to excellence in Christian education.

The judging panel will now review the Kerang Christian College nomination during the final stages of judging to see who the finalists will be. Final judging will take place on Thursday, 1st September.

The Regional Achievement and Community Awards have a Facebook page to keep up to date with the awards including the roll out of the People’s Choice Award. This week they will be posting all of the semi-finalist details. Please feel free to like and share the post www.facebook.com/VICRACA.

We give thanks to God for all that has been achieved at Kerang Christian College and acknowledge the contribution of our school community in all that has been accomplished during the past six years.
